Priya’s Mind Studio was founded by Priya — a professional social worker, researcher, and mental health practitioner with 11 years of experience. Her vision is to make mental health care accessible, practical, and creative — empowering individuals and organizations to thrive emotionally and professionally.

Priya is a dedicated counselling therapist and social work professional with a strong academic
and practice background in mental health and psychosocial care in Kerala. She completed her
Master’s degree from St. Joseph’s College, Thrissur in 2009 and is currently pursuing a full-time Ph.D. in Social Work, focusing on the mental health concerns of women police officers, supported by UGC funding. With over a decade of experience in counselling, teaching, and community-based
interventions, Priya has worked extensively with individuals, families, and vulnerable populations across diverse settings. Her professional journey includes serving as a counsellor at the Kudumbashree Gender Help Desk, where she provided 24/7 crisis intervention, tele counselling, and support services for women and children. She also has experience in managing counselling services and conducting training programs. Priya’s areas of expertise include stress management, emotional regulation, life skills education, trauma-informed care, and mental health awareness. She integrates evidence-based approaches with a compassionate, client-centered perspective, creating a safe and non judgmental space for healing and personal growth. In addition to her mind studio work, Priya is actively involved in academic research, training, and workshops focused on mental health, resilience, and overall well-being. Through her practice, she aims to empower individuals—beyond gender boundaries—to build emotional strength, enhance self-awareness, and lead balanced and meaningful lives.
